Dear British Hetalia fans who read this post and found it offensive,
This comic was 100% meant as a JOKE. I did not intend for it to be insulting in any way. I recognize that the opening ceremony in reality was NOT a slight to America, but, from a Hetalia fan's point of view, I found it amusing. When I talk about Britain in the description, notice that I referred to Britain as a "him" - i.e. I was talking about the Hetalia CHARACTER. NOT the actual country. If everyone took the implications in Hetalia personally, trust me that no one would be having any fun at all. Please keep in mind that I know all British people don't live up to the cynical stereotype that I have displayed in this comic, just as I know not all Americans are narcissistic slobs who gorged themselves with processed meat.
Hetalia as a series is a gigantic joke. Please do not take this comic seriously in any way. I am sorry if you were offended, that was not my intention.

I know I wasn't the only one thinking it as I watched the opening ceremonies this year.
What other reason would Britain have for flaunting his health care system in such a public venue OTHER than rubbing it in America's face?? :XD:
I was watching with some of my extended family who know nothing of Hetalia, and now I'm sure they all think I'm unstable because I was literally keeling over from laughing so hard throughout the whole thing :rofl:

BRITAIN IS NOW THE BITCHIEST COUNTRY EVER XDDD

Anyway, the initial sketch of this thing was pretty quick, so I didn't make some of the proportions and crap as accurate as I usually do, BUT WHATEVER :XD: I just wanted to get this idea down before the 2012 Olympics were too much a thing of the past :D

AND DUDE
THERE WAS A GUY FROM MY HOMETOWN IN THE OLYMPICS THIS YEAR
AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT IT.
I DON'T EVEN LIVE IN A BIG TOWN OR ANYTHING!!!
I SAW HIM WHILE I WAS WATCHING WITH MY MOM AND WE WERE LIKE "WOAH WOAH WOAH - WHAT?!?"
